IAFC VCOS BOARD MEETING - INVITATION TO CAFC MEMBERS

FEBRUARY 9-10, 2018

HALIFAX REGIONAL FIRE & EMERGENCY SERVICES HEADQUARTERS

HALIFAX, NS

 

 

Dear Canadian Fire Service Member,

 

Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency is excited to announce that we will be hosting the International Association of Fire Chiefs Volunteer & Combination Officers Section (VCOS) Board meeting. We’d like to extend a special invitation to you as a leader in the Canadian fire service to attend part of the meeting. Come hear about current hot topics dealing with volunteer and combination emergency service organizations and learn about all that VCOS is doing to help address them. This is an opportunity for dialogue between the VCOS Board and Canadian fire service members. VCOS would enjoy learning about your experiences and how VCOS could better help support you and your department.

 

The VCOS Board will be meeting on February 9 & 10 at Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Headquarters.  We’d like to invite you to come to part of that meeting on Saturday, February 10th at 9 am in the Community Council Room of Alderney Landing located at on the first floor at 60 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth, NS.   To RSVP, please email Donna Honeywell at [email protected] by Friday, February 2nd end of day.  More information about VCOS is below.

 

VCOS Mission:

To provide chiefs and chief officers who manage volunteers within a volunteer or combination fire, rescue or EMS delivery system with information, education, services and representation to enhance their professionalism.

 

VCOS Vision:

To represent the interests of all volunteer and combination fire/rescue/EMS agencies. We will be a dynamic organization, characterized by our integrity, customer focus and membership development, with value placed on people and the superior utilization of technology. We will excel by creating educational programs, through unrivaled networking, and by helping VCOS members further their success and reach their potential.
