Death Notification of Retired Burlington Fire Chief Terry Edwards

On Saturday, February 17, 2007, retired Burlington Fire Chief Terry Edwards passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital in Burlington.

Visitation will be held at SMITH`S FUNERAL HOME 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of QEW) BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Smith's Funeral Home chapel on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at   1 p.m.  A Fire Department escort will accompany Terry to his interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens.   If desired, expressions of sympathy to the Alzheimer's Society or the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation - Henderson Burn Unit would be sincerely appreciated by the family.

Terry began his career with the Burlington Fire Department on July 4,1967. He was promoted to Captain in 1974, Deputy Fire Chief on April 27, 1976, Fire Chief on June 25, 1991, and retired as Fire Chief in December of 1995.
