It is with great sadness that I must pass word to you that Doug Lion passed away suddenly on December 2nd, 2005. Below are some details regarding the services.

 

Doug was a regular contributor to the Canadian Fire Chief magazine as well as sitting on the Canadian Commission of Building and Fire Codes.

"It is with deep regret that we inform you that Mr. Douglas Lion, Chief of Operations, the

Montreal Fire Department's First Responder Division, passed away at Kangiqsujuaq, Nunavik on December 2nd last.

 

Funeral services for Chief Lion will be held in Montreal at Paperman and Sons Funeral Home, located at 3888 Jean Talon Blvd. West, on Wednesday, December 7th, at 14:00 Hrs. with a private internment following the service.

 

All those wishing to pay their last respects to Chief Lion are asked to join together in the Chapel of Paperman and Sons starting at 13:30 Hrs.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that contributions in his memory be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation (514) 289-1777"
