Representation to the Federal Government:

  • Through resolutions from the CAFC, Provincial Associations and individual members presented to the federal government on your behalf;

  • By annual delegations to address pertinent requirements by fire service representatives across Canada face-to-face with key decision makers including MPs, Ministers and various senior staff in Ministries;

  • By representation from the recognized Voice of the Fire Services in Canada;

  • By representation on federal committees and working groups affecting the fire service in Canada;

  • Government Awareness Week where CAFC Executive, CAFC Board members and others meet in Ottawa to lobby for Fire Service issues from across Canada;

  • With dissemination of information through our government email delivery PACS Canada system that communicates directly with key representatives of government departments in Canada and media across the country;

  • Fire Chiefs from all parts of Canada and from Fire Departments of all sizes are already regarding their CAFC dues as a sounds investment; and

  • By immediate action on issues that may have a negative impact on the fire services in Canada.
